Bucknell University | Orchestra & Upper Strings Instruction | Application Deadline: May 1, 2019

POSITION: Visiting Assistant Professor of Music (Orchestra and Upper Strings Instruction)
DESCRIPTION: The Department of Music at Bucknell University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music in Orchestra and Upper String Instruction for the Fall 2019 semester. The teaching load for the position is the equivalent of three courses, with conducting the Bucknell Orchestra and individual instruction in violin and/or viola typically comprising two-thirds of that load. Other responsibilities include teaching one additional course, based upon the needs of the department and the expertise of the appointee. The department is committed to diversity and inclusiveness; materials candidates submit should include discussion or evidence of their experience in these areas.
QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have an earned doctorate in conducting or performance. Candidates who are ABD will also be considered.
RANK AND SALARY: Visiting Assistant Professor of Music. Salary Competitive.
START DATE: August 2019
